... for my dearly departed coffeemaker, which passed somewhere between noontime Monday and 6:45am this morning. I'm lucky I got out of the house--chances were good that I would simply have stood forlornly in the kitchen all morning, empty coffee mug in hand. I did make it as far as the Dunkin Donuts at Alewife. Then I actually had a fellow Red Line passenger staring at my hands and the way I had them folded around my precious coffee. ^_^ (Well, also, my bus had no heat and it was chillier this morning than I expected, so even with gloves my hands were freezing.)

I feel so much better now.
