Christmas bells are ringing

Since folks on my f-list have covered most of my own Christmas classics, I'm adding the one bit of required viewing that remains--the first five minutes of "Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean."

Quiet day for me today. Christmas with my brother's family was Sunday; today there will be a few phone calls, a very indulgent breakfast, some online catching up and a lot of reflection on the many "gifts" of the last year.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas, and a safe one. All best wishes for a glorious 2008!

And happy birthday, Okaji! Should be a good day for a birthday in Japan. The overall feel of Christmas (as they've adopted it) and New Year's is essentially reversed there: New Year's is a time for reflection and quiet time with family, Christmas is an excuse to throw a big party. ^_^
