Sleepy Sunday morning

Made some more progress last night on photos and updated July 30. I was startled to see that I'd taken so many in-game photos until I remembered that was the day Amy and I had bought ebay tickets thinking we'd be going after the signing Bellhorn had scheduled in Somerville. Of course, Mark got hurt and was on the DL, and they shipped him off to Arizona for rehab (or, possibly, told him to go home and clear his head--but there is in fact a terrific sports facility there) and so the signing was cancelled. I forgot I had some nice photos in that bunch, though! The one of Stephen King still cracks me up. I wasn't ready to take a picture when I saw him and was fumbling frantically for the camera. It wasn't so much that it was Stephen King as it was that he was wearing an older Remy Report shirt, which I thought was the coolest thing ever.

I also discovered yesterday that Stop & Shop now stocks Chili Cheese Fritos. This is not good news. Generally speaking I try to be good about junk food, helped enormously by reading Fast Food Nation, but Smartfood and these particular Fritos are weaknesses. I used to get the Fritos when traveling, because they never had them out here. (On the positive side, I guess, the new Franz Ferdinand works very well as gym music, which should help with the many extra hours I will now need to spend there.)

BDD linked to a Dodgers site yesterday, with the comment, "At least we're not the Dodgers!" Dodger Blues indeed made me feel better about the Sox (make sure you watch the logo in upper left until you see the animation!), and this pretty much made me cry laughing.

Coffee is not kicking in. "Groggy" is not quite my mood, but "decaffeinated" would cover it nicely!
